Besides them, the list includes the groups Def Leppard, Roxy Music and The Zombies, as well as singers Janet Jackson and Stevie Nicks. The latter was formally already in the Hall of Fame, as it was a member of the Fleetwood Mac team, which was included there in 1998.
The nominees also included Kraftwerk, Devo, Rage Against the Machine, MC5 and Rufus, as well as solo performers John Prine, El Kul Jay and Todd Randgren.
The 34th inaugural ceremony is scheduled to take place on March 29, 2019 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
