As the authors of the dictionary indicate, the number of page views with the meaning of this word in 2018 increased by 45%.
"Mentions of toxic chemicals this year are of particular importance, as the poisoning with a nerve agent of a former Russian intelligence officer (Sergey Skripal) and his daughter in Britain shocked the whole world," the dictionary says.
Earlier, the Oxford Dictionary called the word 2017 - youthquake (youth - “youth”, quake - “shaking”).
It was also reported that the Oxford dictionary added the term "in the spirit of Tarkovsky."
