A "respect of the skater". Nelson Monfort now hopes to form something other than a duo that causes laughter on the screen. "There is always a knowledge of skating and a respect for the skater," said Nelson Monfort. After so many years spent with each other in the small window, Nelson Monfort confides: "I think I can say that it is a little my little brother and the reciprocal is true."

"You will never hear Philippe be unkind." Philippe Candeloro is sometimes criticized for his remarks considered inappropriate, especially during the last Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. "You may hear some little excesses," admits Nelson Monfort, "candelorettes" as he calls them. But for the journalist, there is never any contempt in the voice of his sidekick. "You will never hear Philippe being derogatory to the skaters, because he knows too much what that means," said Nelson Monfort, pointing out that "Philippe is one of them."
