This Saturday in the column "The two minutes of wine", Oliviers Poels takes us to the other side of the Alps, to discover the ... Italian wine.

Direction Italy this Saturday for the table of the good live . Olivier Poels takes us to Piedmont, "a country of cocagne and absolutely incredible gastronomy". "This is where the greatest wines from Italy come from," says the culinary specialist.

Barolo and Barbaresco. "There are two great names that are the pride of Piedmont: Barolo and Barbaresco," says Olivier Poels. On one side, with the Barolo, "a robust, powerful wine", on the other with the Barbaresco, "a finer wine". Both are from a single variety: the Nebbiolo. "These are wines that need 10, 15, 20 years to really explode," says the culinary journalist. Count 45 euros minimum to offer you one of these bottles of wine. A price that can go up to 100 euros.

Dolcetto and Barbera. But how can you afford a good wine from Piedmont when you have a smaller budget? "With Dolcetto, a greedy wine, fresher, a little Beaujolais," says Olivier Poels. Another "wine of friend for a small aperitif": the Barbera. "This is another variety that gives incredible wines". For these two wines, a good bottle will cost you between 10 and 15 euros.
