In the Lower Saxon village of Dörverden, southeast of Bremen, at eight o'clock on Wednesday morning, a school bus collided with a VW pickup truck. As the police said, the 55-year-old bulli driver is said to have disregarded the priority of the bus.

The 65-year-old school bus driver had been traveling at moderate speed, but could not avoid the collision, they said.

Ten of the 45 children were slightly injured and suffered from bruises and shocks. Six of them were taken to a hospital. Rescue service, fire and police were on site with a large contingent. Some parents also rushed to the scene to take care of their children.

Both drivers survived the collision unhurt. The amount of property damage is estimated by the police to be around € 70,000.
