A Japanese court on Tuesday rejected another request by the lawyers of former Nissan Motor President Carlos Ghosn, who has been held since November for alleged financial irregularities, for bail.
The Tokyo District Court took the decision four days after another request by Ghosn's lawyers.
On November 19, prosecutors in Tokyo arrested Ghosn for concealing part of his income from Japan's tax authorities, and Greg Kelly, his right-hand accomplice, was arrested on suspicion of complicity.
Prosecutors had accused Ghosn, Kelly and Nissan in December of concealing about 5 billion yen ($ 44 billion) of Ghosn's income from tax authorities in Japan from 2011 to 2015.
