Two wolves have escaped from a wildlife park in the northern Hessian town of Homberg (Efze). One animal had already been shot dead on Friday evening in the park, told the game park Knüll. The second wolf had escaped from the area.

For people who should meet him, there is no danger according to the park management. According to a spokesman for the Schwalm-Eder-Kreis, the wolves had dug under an electronic fence. The park was already closed for visitors at the time.

For the game park it is not the first such case: Already in February last year two wolves escaped from an enclosure, which could be lured back with food. The wolf pack last consisted of ten animals.
