The Iraqi Interior Ministry announced Tuesday that a man claimed to have been kidnapped after agreeing with his friends to get 100,000 US dollars from his father in the Mansour area west of Baghdad.

"A person told the anti-crime office in the Mansour district of the Directorate of Combat Baghdad, that his son was kidnapped, and after collecting information and investigation from secret sources and watch surveillance cameras were reached," an Interior Ministry statement said.

"After a thorough investigation, it turned out that he was not subjected to a kidnapping, and that he agreed with one of his friends to hide him from the sight of his family to be kidnapped," according to "Russia Today"

The statement pointed out that "the son wanted to bargain his father on the amount of $ 100 thousand dollars," adding that "the investigative papers were presented to the competent judge, and took all legal proceedings against him."
