The unprecedented happened in the State Duma: Vyacheslav Volodin shamed the deputies for extravagantly populist initiatives and called on the leaders of the factions to evaluate such actions. Volodin didn’t limit himself to this: a new section will appear on the State Duma’s website in which these opuses will be published so that citizens do not confuse legislative activity with public relations for PR. The idea was grudgingly supported by all the deputies, without exception, even those who no-no-no themselves and would offer something absurd.

“When elected on the party list, different forces here lead to the Duma. What we see today is shame, based on the statements of some of our deputies, ”said Volodin.

The proposals in the style of shock-rocker Sergei Spider Troitsky long ago migrated to the Russian parliament, and sometimes it is even difficult to understand what the Duma is really working on, and what is a bold proposal of an individual deputy. Among the variegated flow of initiatives, there are diamonds, such as a ban on the use of garlic under 18 or marrying prostitutes. Maybe now, after the active parliamentarians tighten the nuts a little, the State Duma will no longer look very absurd.

Actually, I am watching with interest the evolution of the parliament - ever since when they sat there like a good giant Vasily Shandybin with a powerful bald skull, Irina Khakamada, Boris Nemtsov and many more exotic characters. Some deputies went to court to Limonov, among them was quite young Sergei Shargunov - he is now himself a deputy from the Communist Party faction. In 2003, Black Colonel Viktor Alksnis, one of the defenders of the Supreme Council in October 1993, was elected to the Duma. With Alksnis we were friends for a long time.

In general, as you can see, people with difficult biographies and very different views on how the country should develop. Despite the fact that many members of past convocations are deeply impressed with me, I must admit that the Duma of the 1990–2000s sample is the Swan, cancer and pike, which adopted such a number of laws that now they need to be corrected for years. As, for example, with article 282, which, through the efforts of the aforementioned Sergei Shargunov, was finally partially decriminalized. And such a legacy from the anarchist duma of that time remained an enormous amount.

If this can all be dealt with over time, then it is more difficult to raise the reputation of the parliament, spoiled by the violent nineties.

For example, type in the search engine "State Duma Brawl" - you will see many interesting things: priests deputies rushing into a fight right in a cassock, of course, frantic Zhirinovsky, nationalist deputy Nikolai Lysenko - one of the founders of the Leningrad branch of the society "Memory" (who does not remember , "Memory" was a national-monarchist organization opposing Zionism). Well, for a long time to list it all.

Of course, over the years, our citizens have become accustomed to not treat the Russian parliament without a smile. Then, fortunately, everything began to change: everyday fights went into the past along with their bizarre initiators, the very appearance of the “eternal holiday”, which did not fit in with the functions that the deputies endowed, disappeared. Another generation began to come to their place, disciplined and even visually unlike the team of a pirate ship (see the photo of Deputy Marytchev in a metal-group shirt - well, like a pirate!).

Nevertheless, some of the not very good traditions of those years are preserved: these are, as we have already said, initiatives for the sake of initiatives. Of course, as a result, no one adopts such laws, but there is a real problem that, due to some proposals, it seems that some strange experiments on consciousness are taking place in the Duma. Well, what else makes a person, for example, offer to imprison lesbians for a period of one to five years, or officially allow polygamy, as Alexey Mitrofanov did.

No, of course, Volodin is right that they will make a disgrace board for such deputies. I would go more radically: I would deprive my mandate conditionally for 20 such bills. Once Gryzlov said: "The Duma is not a place for discussion." I hope now it will not be a place for crazy people. In short, a good suggestion is correct.
