Employees at Disney theme parks in Florida and California report that visitors have already thrown ashes from their loved ones. One way for them to make sure they live "forever happy".

The news is creepy. The Wall Street Journal revealed that some of the American visitors had taken advantage of their stays in Mickey's amusement parks to dump the ashes of their deceased relatives. Two parks are targeted, those located in California (Disneyland) and Florida (Walt Disney World).

The newspaper is based on stories told by Disney employees. This macabre phenomenon was observed about a decade ago, when one of the visitors approached a body of water close to an attraction, to pour in an unidentified substance.

Human ashes in the haunted mansion

Since then, this ritual is repeated on average once a month. Ashes are commonly found in bushes, flowerbeds, and even ... attractions.

The ashes must go unnoticed. The most dusty corners are the most coveted. This is confirmed by one of the guardians of parks in the American daily: "The haunted Manor is probably home to so much real human ashes that it is even more funny" .

"Perfectly illegal"

An opinion shared by Disney's management. Asked by Wall Street Journal, a representative recalls that this activity is "perfectly illegal" . Such actions endlessly result in a return to the exit, supported or not.

Then, the employees know the song: the attraction is closed temporarily to thoroughly clean the site, always invoking the reason for the "technical incident" . An operation that would now have a nickname: the "HEPA cleaning" , reference to the high-level filtration device used by maintenance services.

So be careful where you set foot in the future.
