A controversial multi-billion-dollar coal mine project in Australia is being shut down by an endangered bird after a project review study found the plan to run the company to protect the bird was inappropriate.

India's Indian mining giant Adani plans to build the giant Carmichael coal mine in Australia's Galley Basin, Queensland, a mine that, according to geologists, could produce more than 27 billion tonnes of coal.

However, at the request of the state government, researchers who prepared a project review study found that the project's environmental management plan to protect the rare black-necked bird is insufficient.

The draft review report, published by The Australian newspaper, said today that the mine project should not proceed until after the company revised its plan to protect the goldfish at the site of the mine.

The rare bird, which is only 10 cm long in parts of the state of Queensland, says the site «Birdlive Australia» e-conservation of birds in Australia, the number of goldfinch has decreased by about 80% in recent decades, due in large part to Loss of living space and increased density of semi-wooded grasses in their living areas.

The draft report recommended stopping activities on site if Adani did not prove that the number of gums did not decrease during the first five years of operation.

The Indian Mines Company said today that the government review report is biased, "and can be read as a leaflet for coal, mines and Adani company."

A spokesman for the «Adani» that comes in particular in light of the five members of the audit committee, which includes six people working at the Center for the Restoration of Endangered Species in Australia, and had previously made statements «opposition to coal and mines in the past».
