The art of writing and artistic research has been awarded a beautiful art program by the artist and writer Nadia Christide, after a competition with writers and artists from across the Middle East and the world, who submitted their work to a panel of judges including Selected experts.

Christie, who is of Syrian, Palestinian and Greek origins, will receive a three-month artistic residency at the Jameel Center for the Arts in Dubai. She will write a book on the water crisis, current plans and future scenarios of the crisis through culture and design.

"Fine Art is pleased to inaugurate the first writing award, and we are delighted that Nadia has won the new artistic residency and commissioning of his very important theme of the future of the water crisis and its reflection on our cultural and everyday life," said Antonia Carver, executive director of JFK.

"Although writing is an effort, the technical publications in particular may have difficulties in publishing them, hence the importance of the award," she said.

In the wake of the opening of the Fine Art Program for Artistic Orders, which last year achieved remarkable success in its focus on art forms. All writers, researchers, critics, historians, artistic directors and artists born or residing in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey have been invited to receive works from around the world, reflecting the diversity of backgrounds, nationalities and interests.

In response to Jameel Center's interest in art collections, museums and technical issues of interest to the Gulf region, Nadia has chosen to be the new theme for initiatives addressing urgent water crises and to use a variety of media and resources. The Jamil Jameel Artwork Program is an annual program and one of the pillars of Jameel Art Center's programs in Dubai.
