The missing 15-year-old Rebecca had probably not left her brother-in-law's house at the time of her alleged killing. That said Michael Hoffmann of the state criminal police Berlin in the ZDF transmission "Aktenzeichen XY ... unresolved". The urgently suspected brother in law of Rebecca had been to the alleged crime alone with her in the house. This results mainly from the telephone behavior of Rebecca and the router data in the house of the brother-in-law.

Accordingly, Rebecca had disappeared from the house of her 27-year-old brother-in-law and sister in the morning of 18 February. Investigators assume she was killed. Her brother-in-law has been in custody since Monday and is silent on the allegations.

According to Hoffmann, the brother-in-law undertook two trips on the day of Rebecca's disappearance and the following day, which he can not explain. With the raspberry red Twingo of the family, he was therefore registered on 18 February at 10:47 and on 19 February at 22:39 on the highway 12 between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder) by the automatic number plate detection system KESY.

The police now ask who saw the suspect's car on the morning of February 18 and on the evening of February 19. She published photos of the suspect and the vehicle. It is interesting, therefore, at which departure the car left the highway and in which villages it was seen. In addition, the police are looking for reference points of the suspect between Berlin and Frankfurt (Oder).

The LKA Berlin announced in the show "Aktenzeichen XY ... unresolved" also more details on the case. Hoffmann added two items to the previously known garments that Rebecca could carry with him. Among other things, the "Süddeutsche Zeitung" had criticized that one of the portrait images is not a realistic photo, but may have been digitally edited and embellished by herself or friends. The photo shows Rebecca also made up.

A police spokesman said, "We need to be prepared to take pictures that family members say are very similar to what they were looking for." In the selection one relies on the support of the family. Both photos were selected from these points of view.
