A young athlete from the Indian Special Olympics team (Bharat), her parents had abandoned her, made her proud of her, having won four silver medals in the weightlifting competitions at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi 2019.

The young Indian Chalon has shown great courage and strength, and has been able to achieve the runner-up in the lifting of the slugs and chest and the lifting dead, in addition to the overall competition at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).

Although the event is undoubtedly the biggest achievement for the 22-year-old, the start of the medal-winning trip to hundreds of people was not as simple and easy as it was.

Chalo, who had poor speech and learning disorder, was found on the road homeless when she was 4 years old after her parents abandoned her. But her life changed completely on February 19, 2000, when she was in front of the house of Padmini Sharivastava, director of the First India Bengalwara Charity Association, which gave her a fresh start.

"For me, I consider her to be my mother, she has given me a lot and I am grateful to her for giving me home and support," she says.

In this association, which also includes Mittama, Chalo's interest in sports, especially in the field of athletics and football, has become apparent. But she was encouraged to try weightlifting at the orphanage, and from that time she started practicing it and never changed it.

"It's a sport that requires strength, and it's the sport that makes me smile every day," she says. "Winning the medals was a dream come true in my first game at the World Games, and I thank all the coaches who helped me Winning, as I would not have done it without their support. "

After winning the Special Olympics, the weightlifting coach of the Indian Special Olympics confirms Shalo's determination and resolve.

"As with all the athletes in the team, Chalo presented us with an inspiring model," says coach Sukhinder Singh, "but we are impressed and impressed by her courage and determination, not only in the field of weight lifting, but also in sports, And ensure a brighter future for sure. "
