Paul McCartney is now 76 years old, and this does not stop the former Beatles singer from giving one of his legendary concerts in his hometown of Liverpool to 11,000 spectators. But days before, the music legend had to digest a shock: Last Friday, his villa in London was broken into. The investigation is still in progress, so far no person was arrested, said Scotland Yard in the night.

According to this, burglars had already gained access to the musician's house in the northwestern district of St. John's Wood in the early evening hours. Whether he or his 59-year-old wife Nancy Shevell was at home at the time of the burglary is unknown.

It is not the first break in a former Beatle. In 1999, guitarist George Harrison was attacked by an intruder at his home in Oxfordshire, west of London, with a knife.
