In Moosthenning, Lower Bavaria, a motorcyclist died in a traffic accident. The police said the 32-year-old wanted to overtake a tractor on Saturday night. He then turned left. The motorcycle grazed the tractor and came off the road. The driver was thrown against a tree and lay seriously injured.
Other road users provided first aid and alarmed rescue workers. Then the man was flown by a helicopter to a hospital, where he later died. The tractor driver suffered a shock, but remained unhurt.
