Rome - The death of a Moroccan model who was a regular guest at the concerts of former Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi may have been the result of a possible murder, Italian judges said.

Iman Fadel, 33, died at Milan hospital on March 1, a month after she had stomach pain.

She then told friends and lawyers that she had been poisoned.

Eman testified as a key witness in the 2012 Berlusconi trial, accused of having sex with an underage girl.

Milan's chief prosecutor Francesco Greco told Reuters news agency there were "many cases" in the medical records of Iman Fadel.

"Doctors have not definitively identified any diseases that could explain death," he added.

According to Italian newspaper reports, Iman was writing a book about her experiences, and the investigating magistrates received a copy of her book in her handwriting.

The allegations against Berlusconi that he has staged frenetic concerts in his own villa have discredited him.
