“A seismic event occurred on Monday afternoon local time. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the waters of the Kronotsky Bay off the eastern coast of Kamchatka at a depth of about 120 kilometers 130 kilometers from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, ”the department said.
It is noted that according to the regional central board of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, residents of the cities of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and Elizovo felt an earthquake of up to three points.
Earlier it was reported that a magnitude 5.3 earthquake was recorded in Kamchatka in the Ust-Kamchatka region.
