Taylor Swift broke her political silence and made her critics happy. But apparently she seems to have disappointed a man: US President Donald Trump. He takes the singer's verdict on his Republican party evidently evil.

"I like Taylor's music now about 25 percent less," said Trump in the White House. In addition, Swift knew "nothing" about the criticized by her Republican Representative Marsha Blackburn. So far, Trump had always admiringly commented on the musician and praised her on Twitter in the highest tones.

The singer, who had always kept out of politics so far, had previously announced to vote in the congressional elections in November in her home state of Tennessee for the Democratic Senate candidate.

"In the past, I was reluctant to publicly voice my political positions," the 28-year-old wrote in a lengthy message on Instagram. But her opinion has changed.

"As much as I would like to continue to vote for women, I can not support Marsha Blackburn," Swift wrote about Republican politician Blackburn, who is currently sitting in the House of Representatives for Trump's party and is now running for the Senate. "Your decisions are outrageous and scare me."

It will vote for Democrats Phil Bredesen (Senate) and Jim Cooper (House of Representatives), Swift continued. At the end of her message, she called on her US fans to vote. "Many of us will never find a candidate or a party with whom we agree 100 percent on each issue, but we still have to vote."

Americans elect a third of Senate members and the House of Representatives on November 6. Swift selects in the state of Tennessee.
