With the screening of the film "Al Borg" by Norwegian director Mats Gurd, the events of the Cairo International Animation Forum took place on the 12th session.

The film is a joint production between Norway, Sweden and France, and has a duration of 74 minutes. It has already participated in Arab and international festivals, including the Cairo International Film Festival in its 40th session.

The film deals with the story of the girl who lives in the Burj al-Barajneh refugee camp in Lebanon and is connected to her grandfather, who is about to leave the house, but he is keen to hand over the key to his house, which he left forcibly, a child with his family in 1948. Palestinian conflict through three generations of refugees.

Participating in the 12th session of the Cairo International Animation Forum, organized by the Cultural Development Fund of the Ministry of Culture in cooperation with the Egyptian Animation Society, about 135 works from 20 countries.

The program, which runs until March 1, will also include specialized workshops by Kenyan writer, director and producer Kwame Nyungu.

The activities and the activities of the forum will be held at the Center for Artistic Creativity at the Opera House, Hanager Cinema and Talaat Harb Cultural Center in downtown Cairo, in addition to the cultural palaces in most of Egypt's governorates.

"This year we received about 150 entries, including student films, serials, short films and long films, to compete in six competitions. We chose 135 jobs and excluded the rest because they were not suitable for the show," said Rachida Abdel Raouf El Shafei, president of the Egyptian Animation Society. .

"We are happy that the level of business participation this year is high, there is a dazzling and different implementation methods and distinct, and with us a lot of Arab and foreign countries, which makes a good state of competition and intellectual interaction and technical." The opening ceremony of the forum was preceded by the creation of an exhibition of 126 works for about 60 students, graduates, professors of colleges and institutes specializing in design, photography and animation. During the festival, the festival will honor six artists, including musician Hani Shenouda and actor Mohamed Abdelmatti.
