A man escaped miraculously in the face of a gunman with a bow and arrows in front of his house, police said, as a gunman fired his mobile phone he was holding to film the incident.
The 43-year-old man returned home yesterday to find an armed man he knew waiting outside the house in the small town of Nimbin on the country's east coast, about 150 km south of Brisbane.
"The man raised his mobile phone to take a picture of the gunman who raised his bow and was ready to fire the arrow," the police said in a statement.
Police said they had arrested a 39-year-old man at the scene and charged him.
