The Directorate of Emergency and Public Safety honored the nine-year-old girl, Mahra al-Muhri, for her courage in dealing with her mother's condition and following the instructions given to her by phone by the ambulance.

Abu Dhabi Police expressed deep appreciation to the girl for her kindness and good behavior, and was able to save the life of her sick mother, who was subjected to emergency complications, using telephone instructions and advice to deal with the situation until his crew arrives at the family home.

Al-Mahri, a fourth-grader, called 911 at the command and control center, asking for help to save her mother in a timely manner, so that she was able to act and listen to the instructions of a paramedic by telephone and provide first aid that contributed to reducing the deterioration of the situation.

Acting Director of the Directorate Colonel Zayed Al-Hajri said the behavior and positive attitude shown by the child in her mother's ambulance were indicative of the impact of Abu Dhabi Police's awareness on how to act when accidents occur and requesting ambulance services.

He said that this child is a model for the generation's vigilance in good behavior. He is familiar with the manner and steps of asking for help from the police through No. 999 by giving a precise description of the place, explaining the situation and listening to the ambulance's advice.

The management of Al Rayanh School expressed its thanks to Abu Dhabi Police for this good gesture by honoring one of its students for its work, positive behavior and saving her mother.

The Directorate of Emergency and Public Safety and the Department of Security Information provided advice to students about the importance of communicating with the emergency room to report emergency cases on 999 and raise awareness about first aid methods.
