Celebrities celebrating their 50th birthday are known to spare no expense and effort. As with Jennifer Aniston: The actress invited her best friends earlier this week in the Sunset Tower Hotel in Los Angeles. To end the week perfectly, Aniston apparently also wanted to fly with friends to the west coast of Mexico. But nothing came of the journey with their private jet.

The plane had to reverse shortly before landing in Mexico, as the US celebrity portal "TMZ" reports. The reason: The machine had lost a wheel, according to US Air Traffic Control. A few hours later, the machine was safely docked at an airport not far from Los Angeles. Before that, however, the pilot should have flown in circles for several hours in order to burn enough fuel for a safe landing.

The birthday trip to Cabo San Lucas was continued anyway. As "TMZ" reports, Aniston and her friends moved to another private jet.

On board, a total of twelve passengers have been. Along with Aniston's former co-star, Courteney Cox ("Friends"), among others, the wife of late-night star Jimmy Kimmel: Molly Kimmel. According to "TMZ" the girlfriends Aniston have given the spontaneous trip for a birthday.
