At least 41 people were killed in a fire that broke out Wednesday night in a residential building in Dhaka that also uses a chemical storehouse, the Bangladeshi authorities said.
"The number of dead is expected to rise," National Fire Chief Ali Ahmed said, adding that the fire, probably caused by a gas cylinder, soon spread to the building because of the inflammable materials stored in it.
