The Art Gallery, the Academic Museum of the University of New York Abu Dhabi, has announced the opening of its new exhibition entitled Plastic Fantastic within the Project Area from 16 to 19 March. The exhibition features works by more than 30 artists, Worsening.

Plastic-based technologies have made major changes in the modern world, from venous tubes, blood bags, airbags to electrical cables, computers, industrial clothes and carpets, so it's impossible to imagine the world without plastic. Despite the useful innovations and convenient services of plastics, it has led to catastrophic environmental problems, which are covered by the exhibition "Plastic Fantastic" to transform plastic from waste or toxic materials into innovative works of art. The list of artists participating in the exhibition include: Aisha Salem Al Muhairi, Amal Nasser Al Manhali, Amna Ali Al Jaidi, Arabella Ranging, Arwa Hamad Al Junaibi, Ashwaq Abdullah Abdulaziz, Asma Al Ahmad, Asma Al Asad Al Kathiri, Aisha Ahmed Al Marar, Kristalina Barra, Fancheng Hee, Fatima Ahmed Al-Shihi, Fatima Saleh Al-Naimi, Jamila Hussein Al-Hudhaifi, Hamza Essam Al-Khoja, Hind Al-Husani, Abdullah Al-Zaabi, Laura Schneider, Maha Khamis Al Hassani, Maryam Humaid Al Qubaisi, Mohammad Ahli, Mona Hamad Jarallah, Nouf Khalid Al Mazrouei, Rashed Rashid Al-Junaibi, Manhali, Sandra Peters, and Sarah Tarek Al Nahdi, Sara Hamed Al Refai, Shama Saeed Al Kaabi, Shawq Yousif Al Ghafili, Wing Wang, Zainab Adel Al Amro, Zeng (Jack) Zhang and Zuhair Saleh Al Musabi. "Plastic Fantastic" will open its doors to visitors on Sunday, with a reception at 6:30 pm in the presence of participating artists. The Project Space is an exhibition platform organized by members of the art community in and around New York University Abu Dhabi, including the annual Capstone Festival, college exhibitions, and other resident artist projects in the UAE.
