The Meteorological Agency predicted a strong typhoon on the 25th, and a very strong typhoon on the 26th, Friday, as the typhoon 'WeiTu' headed toward the northwest.

According to the Korea Meteorological Administration, the course of the typhoon is still in flux, but at present it is unlikely that the peninsula will be affected by the typhoon 'WuTu' because it is likely to head north to the southern sea of ​​Japan.

"WeiTu" means the legendary jade octopus with the name given in China.
