The Arts Center at the University of New York Abu Dhabi will host a group of local, national and international artists to participate in the fourth season of the «Hikaya» event, which will kick off the following day, offering visitors an opportunity to relax in the open air and spend an evening filled with cultural and heritage activities.

The event, an evening of selected artists, will address the cultural and historical heritage of the UAE through the arts. The event will be accompanied by poetry and music presentations for the pearl fishing industry in the Arabian Gulf, and performances of piano, oud and others. The event will be attended by a wide range of artists from the UAE, Kuwait, the Philippines, Palestine, Pakistan and the United States, as well as artists based in the UK with close ties to the UAE.

This year's list includes 10 selected events to celebrate the UAE's 47th National Day and the Year of Zayed. The presentations were chosen in collaboration with Shama Bastaki, poet and graduate of New York University Abu Dhabi, and coordinator and visual artist Zari Jeffrey, and Durian Paul Rogers, the founding founder of surface rhythms, and Debra Lindsay Williams, associate professor of literature and creative writing and columnist for The National; Braggin, Executive Director of the Art Center at New York University Abu Dhabi.

"The story has been one of the most important events organized by the Arts Center over the last four years," said Bill Braggin. "It has created a unique way to showcase the diverse talents and traditions of the UAE as well as the work of visiting artists, "The event, which will focus on Emirati artists, will be organized with the participation of a large number of artists residing in the UAE to showcase the rich cultural diversity of the UAE and its artists, who participate in this celebration through their high-level work.

The list of artists participating in the fourth season include: Nirmala Dios (poetry), Amal Ali Sayegh (Nabatian Poetry), Bouem Diwan (mix between Gulf sailing music and jazz), Danabelle Gutierrez (poetry), Farah Shama (poetry) Gareth Adams (creative writing), Maha Jamil (theater, poetry and prose), Omar Marzouki (piano), Samar Abduljaber and Nicole Kalihan (poetry) and Shama Bastaki (poetry).
