The Art Center of the University of New York Abu Dhabi has announced the hosting of the Arturo Opharil Jazz Orchestra by the Arturo Opharil Jazz Orchestra on Wednesday, with the participation of four distinguished actors on the university stage to highlight the cultural ties between Cuba, North Africa.

Pianist and composer O'Farrell, who has won six Grammy Awards and the 18-member Red Theater Orchestra accompanied by four eminent artists, are expected to present a panel of musical dialogue that enriches the cultural heritage of marine life in these communities. They are UAE oud player Ali Obaid, And the Kuwaiti-Bahraini band "Bum Diwan", led by Dr. Ghazi Al-Mulaifi, who presented her first performance in the UAE at the "Hakee" event at the Arts Center, and the French-Moroccan singer Malika Zara .

The project draws inspiration from the approach of American composer Ned Split, who has been exploring the relationship between Arabic and African music as he travels through the Straits of Gibraltar and Andalusia. These unique links between the world's cultures are played by the instrumentalists. The subtle variation in the Middle Eastern song and the multi-system African rhythm reveals an unexpected convergence with the music of the Gulf, North Africa and Cuba.

"The music of the peoples of the Gulf, the Middle East, Spain and Morocco has deep roots, and there are close ties that combine the roots of jazz and the various types of music in the Americas with the peoples of the Sahara," O'Farrell said. "We invite the public to explore these worlds with us in an evening of unique innovations and musical creations that reflect the pulse of cultures, challenge geographic separations and join the quest for the pivotal role of music as a tool for unifying people."

As always, the arts center does not only offer presentations, but also provides the audience with the opportunity to learn, experiment and communicate by introducing each show and artist closely through the "Off the Stage" program.

"This is one of the highlights of the Arts Center season to express the values of tolerance in the UAE," said O'Brien, Executive Director of the Arts Center at the University of New York Abu Dhabi. "We are proud to host O'Farrell, His professional career of music as a bridge eliminates cultural barriers and unites people through the exchange of artistic expertise at the highest levels. As part of this first global collaboration, the Arts Center has used a group of international artists who represent diverse musical traditions and draw their inspiration from the heritage in a spirit of adventure and passion to create new music that reflects the interconnectedness of our world.
