The exhibition "421", the artistic and creative center at Mina Zayed, today marks the third anniversary of its opening, during which it hosted 18 exhibitions which presented creative talents to more than 400 local and regional artists and designers. It also organized a wide range of cultural programs, including dialogue sessions, film presentations, workshops and performances.

During its first three years, 421 was focused on using its exhibits and associated programs to encourage greater community involvement and interaction with arts, culture and creative activities. Through his monthly programs, he organized more than 60 workshops organized in partnership with leading local and regional institutions to provide opportunities to gain experience and knowledge on a wide range of creative fields, from traditional arts and crafts to digital design and photography. In addition, the «421» exhibition held many workshops and events for children and families, which included introductions in the use of colors, shapes and basic characters, storytelling, and other events.

Faisal Al Hassan, Exhibition Director 421, said: "I have been honored to work with the exhibition since its inception and it has been and remains an interesting experience to reflect on what we have been able to accomplish over the past three years. I would like to express my deep gratitude to all the artists, theaters and institutions with whom we have had fruitful partnerships along our busy journey. "

"The exhibition is proud to coincide with the third anniversary of its opening with the launch of Urban Plus, the new exhibition held in partnership with Gulf Photo Plus. This collaboration is a milestone in the development of the 421 exhibition, as well as new opportunities for participation in the design of future exhibitions and programs, and for a more effective approach to the content that is presented in this creative space in the future. "

"Our space has developed alongside the steady development of the local creative landscape, and we are constantly innovating new areas of creativity by expanding our cultural and artistic activities to support Abu Dhabi's cultural environment. The best proof of that. The topics explored in this exhibition call for reflection on the area of Mina Zayed, which surrounds our areas, which are in the process of change and development is renewed, like most of the urban areas explored by this exhibition ».

The exhibition, organized by Gallery 421 in partnership with Gulf Photo Plus, explores the changing urban landscape of the UAE and how these changes are affecting the experience of its people. The images selected in the exhibition are different from the city planning and architectural renaissance of the country. They focus on abandoned places that once flourished centers, a number of projects in different stages of development and manifestations of ideologies that stimulated the growth and development of global cities. The exhibition is accompanied by the publication of a special booklet to catalog the works of the participating artists, as well as a series of articles that tell their experiences in the implementation of these works, in addition to two poems organized specifically for this event.

"For almost a year we worked closely with Gulf Photo Plus to design and launch our first joint exhibition, and we are delighted to see this project come true. After discussing and exploring a number of topics, we were able to select a specific theme, the changing urban nature of the UAE, and we are confident that we have addressed it in an innovative and thought-provoking way. " The Urban and Solitude exhibition highlights the work of artists living in the UAE, reflecting the firm commitment of 421 to support local creative talent and highlight regional themes. "We will continue to look for new ideas and develop programs that offer new opportunities for the Abu Dhabi community to interact more deeply with art and culture, and look forward to many more exciting years ahead.
