"The Enchantress" against "Horror" and a film about the Crimean Bridge: what to watch in the movies on the November holidays

This week, RT talks about seven films that were released on November 1. Among them are the romantic love melodrama and the Krymsky Bridge, the biopic about the creative path of Freddie Mercury, the dramedi-horror - the directorial debut of Nadezhda Mikhalkova and the sequel “Uzhastikov”. As well as the “Hunter Killer” that has been widely heard, the film version of the popular Scandinavian children's book series and the Russian comedy about the adventures of an extremely lucky person.

“Crimean bridge. Made with love!"

Varya (Ekaterina Shpitsa) is the most beautiful, courageous and witty girl from the group of archaeologists who came to the Crimea for excavations. It is not surprising that she wants to please both the brave builder of the Crimean bridge Dima (Alexey Demidov) and the charismatic PR man Onegin (Artyom Tkachenko). While young people will fight for the beauty of the heart, other people from their environment will try to arrange their personal life: for example, lovelorals (Dmitry Kartashov) dreaming of a career in Hollywood or cook (Irina Rozanova) suffering from unrequited love.

According to the director of the film Tigran Keosayan, “Crimean Bridge” is a film about love. And the name of the picture is due to the fact that it was the bridge that “brought together” its heroes. It is also interesting that at least a third of the filming took place on the Crimean Bridge at the time when it was still being built. “I am extremely grateful to all construction organizations, all security services that we were allowed to hooligan at such an important strategic facility,” said Keosayan.

“Bohemian Rhapsody” (Bohemian Rhapsody)

“Bohemian Rhapsody” tells about the main milestones of Freddie Mercury's biography from the beginning of the 1970s to 1985: according to the creators of the film, these 15 years seemed to them the most important part of the history of the Queen group and the life of its frontman. The story begins with an episode in which the young Parsy Farukh Bulsara (who later took the creative pseudonym of Freddie Mercury) and his friends decide to create Queen. And it ends - the band’s performance in 1985 at the Live Aid festival.

Fans of the legendary British team waited eight years for the Rhapsody to be released. However, some of them will now be disappointed: according to many viewers and fans, the release was not the most successful. So, the critic Randy Jones calls Singer's drama "fast food musical biopics."

"Horror 2: Restless Halloween" (Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween)

The search for a scriptwriter for the second “Horror” began even before the first part was released: the Sony management had no doubt about the success of the film. Apparently, not without reason: a fantastic comedy about book monsters bursting into the real world conquered not only the audience (12+) entrusted to it, but also picky adult film critics. Rating "freshness" of the picture on Rotten Tomatoes today is 77% - for a film of this genre, the result is quite decent.

Sequel age bar lowered. Now, children who have attained the age of six can attend the session. Nevertheless, the storylines of the first and second parts have something in common: a book from which the first monster will break free, the characters - the boys Sonny and Sam - are found in an abandoned house belonging to the children's writer R.L. Stein The one who wrote the series “Horror” and became the prototype of the hero of the original film.

"Lost Place"

Teenagers tell each other scary stories, and one of the storytellers recalls a bike about a cinema with a damn seat. Everyone who sits in this chair dies. Further events develop according to the scenario traditional for a horror film: boys and girls are dying one after another. A string of deaths is trying to investigate a female investigator by Anna Mikhalkova.

The younger sister of the actress Nadezhda Mikhalkova, by the way, debuted as a director in this film. We warn you at once: do not expect that the creators of the tape will scare you. “Lost Place” is not a horror film, but rather a comedy detective with elements of drama.

Hunter Killer

Initially, the release of "Hunter Killer" was planned for November 1, but the release date had to be postponed - the film was left without a rolling license. The Ministry of Culture explained that the document was not issued due to the lack of a mark on the deposit of the film for permanent storage in the State Film Fund of the country. Later it became known that a copy of the picture entered the State Film Fund only on October 30, and the departments simply did not have time to carry out all the procedures necessary for obtaining a certificate. At the time of this material release date is still unknown.

According to the storyline, employees of the US Navy rescue the Russian president from the hands of the conspirators and prevent a third world war.

The Enchantress (Vildheks)

The letters from Hogwarts Clara did not wait for her 11th birthday, but a year later she learned that she belonged to the oldest clan of magicians - the so-called wild witches. They are famous for their ability to talk with animals and the desire to protect wildlife. Of course, in the best traditions of the genre, it is Clara who turns out to be a sorceress who will have to fight the most powerful evil witch in the world.

Interestingly, the film is based on a series of books by Lena Kaaberboel, one of the best-selling modern Scandinavian children's writers.

"A guy from Hollywood, or the Unusual Adventures of Veni Lucky"

In the plot of the picture, lenders from several foreign countries are beginning to hunt for the Russian criminal boss who had deceived them, Antiquary. To save the chef, the guard of Antiquary gives out a double for him - a young artist Venus Lucky. As planned by the bodyguards, the killer should take Venia for their boss, pull the trigger and calm down. However, Lucky is incredibly lucky - which complicates the task to other persons involved in this story.

The director of the comedy was Roman Svetlov (“Lessons in acting”, “Without a statute of limitations”). He also played the main role. Stanislav Duzhnikov, Ekaterina Volkova, Igor Guzun and others formed the company at the site.
