"Golden Raspberries": These are the worst movies of the yearEven US President Donald Trump was among the excellent: He won the ridicule award as the worst actor for his involuntary appearances in the two documentary films "Fahrenheit 11/9" and "Death of a Nation". Trump's wife Melania, nominated as the worst supporting actress also in "Fahrenheit 11/9", got off lightly: The "Golden Raspberry" went to Trump consultant Kellyanne Conway. For Trump it's not the first Golden Raspberry. He got the mocking trophy in 1991 for his cameo role in the fantasy comedy "Ghosts Can not Do It" (German distribution title "My mind always wants only the one ...") with Bo Derek in the lead role, the completely flopped at the box office. At the time he was a real estate entrepreneur and played himself in the movie.
The "Razzies" were created in 1980 by the Cineaste John Wilson as a counterpart to the glittering Oscar ceremony. According to the group, more than 1,000 members voted from the US and two dozen other countries.
