The book "genius of Muhammad" is the most famous book written by Mr. Abbas Mahmoud Akkad (1889 - 1964) in the section "Islamism" in the total of what he wrote. It is a good statement and the strength of argument and the capacity of culture and the truth of faith and the signs of love of the Prophet peace be upon him, which makes you make sure that the capacity and knowledge of different cultures opens up to the mind horizons of truth, because "wisdom is witness to wisdom," says Judge Abu Walid Ibn Rushd Andalusian grandson ( 520 AH - 595 AH / 1126 AD - 1198 AD).

Seeing the cultures of the "other" (and the other is only "I" originated in a parallel environment) is not a path to heresy or infidelity and atheism, and the "sheikhs" have always been inclined to see the dam and the priests closer - warning the disenfranchised of monotheism, Others on the pretext that they were infected by the takeover and turned into a mirror reflective of cultures that are in their balance, infidelity and misguidance. The book "Genius of Mohammed" received his share of this warning, and religion has unfortunately turned into a commodity that gets its share of monopoly and speculation in the markets.

I had already read "Genius of Muhammad" for 18 years, but recently with a friend he encouraged me to read it with a renewed spirit, reading it with a mind that I had read before. The image of Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is sublime and has never been tainted by a fault, nor has the purity of its purity been a charge of a dishonest Orientalist (not all orientalists), or a confused shak, or a man who received confused signals, While this is so, the place of Professor Akkad Sama in myself, has been occupied from my heart a high position before, and there is a difference between the status painted by the person of a person in the middle of life and place painted after reaching the highest and see the world without the eye that had been seen before .

"
Mr. Akkad explained that his book is not "an explanation of Islam or some of its provisions, or defending it, or arguing with its opponents," but "an appreciation of the genius of Muhammad by the amount owed by every human being
"

Our Islamic library is full of books about the biography of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), but after a shock like the shock of the cartoons that spread in Denmark and some European countries, we ask the same questions as if they were the first to say: What is this prophet? What did he do? How do you reconcile the multiple roles that you carry: father and husband and individual in the tribe and prophet, messenger, judge, ruler, warrior, preacher and preacher, and human beings carrying the message of heaven to all people? And how to respond to those who are considered to have qualities that do not fall within the human qualities that pride man as a higher example?

Then we will turn the pages of this library - many - but we will find only a few books address a person of this age in his language, which he understands, whether the language of speech, or language of feelings, or the language of thinking and logical analysis. Thus, the writings of non-Muslims about the personality of the Messenger of Islam are of great interest to the Muslims themselves, such as the book "Thomas Carlyle" called "heroes", if it is a quorum of objectivity and governance of the greatness of Muhammad.

The book "Carlyle" was the entrance that led Akkad to write "Genius of Mohammed", he asked a few of his friends, including Almazni "What we are convinced of the glorification of Carlyle of the Prophet, a Western writer does not understand it as we understand it, does not know Islam as we know it," and asked some of them To write a book about the Messenger of Islam "modern style". And promised them to be soon .. But the book did not see the light only after thirty years!

A great difference between writing a book before and after thirty years in the world of thought, reading and culture, especially if this person is Abbas Mahmoud Akkad, who gave himself a reflection and wonder: "Where were we before those thirty years? .. They are distances in the world of thought and spirit .. If it was a visible place, to take one's head with his hands of dizziness and the extension of consideration without a decision. "

Mr. Akkad explained that his book is not "an explanation of Islam or some of its provisions, or defending it, or arguing for its opponents," but "an appreciation of the genius of Muhammad by the amount owed by every human being, and not condemned by the Muslim enough, and the right that proves love in the heart of every human being, And not in the heart of every Muslim is enough. " Then he continued: "Muhammad is a great man here ... for he is an example of those who are steadfast in the pursuits that the sincere people desire for all people. Great for a great creation." The professor did not forget to emphasize that the appreciation of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) is beneficial to those who appreciate Muhammad, and it is not beneficial for Muhammad to appreciate him ... because in his immortal greatness there is no harm in denial.

After that, Akkad sets out on an enjoyable journey, talking about "birthmarks" (11), "genius of the da'i" (19), "the genius of Muhammad the military" (28), and comparing him to the most famous modern- (69), Muhammad as a friend (79), the president (88), the husband (91), the father (118) and the master (79) 127), 'Abed (133) and Muhammad al-Man (140) and its impact on history (150).

Algerian intellectual Malik bin Nabi wrote "The Quranic Phenomena" and his obsession with presenting a contemporary reading of the prophetic narrative based on the tools of contemporary knowledge in psychology, sociology, anthropology and philosophy of language, so that non-Muslims understand the spirit of Islam as understood by the Muslim (or supposed to understand it!). Objective: Remove the dust of ignorance and the bitter Islamic reality of a bright image is the most vivid picture in the world of humanity associated with the revelation .. And the reconciliation between the law of heaven and the philosophies of the earth.

However, these efforts have slowed down since the middle of the twentieth century, and we no longer find books that share the same torch and interact with the new cultural environment and the age of digital technologies, although those who seek to identify them are much larger and more accessible. Sad in this relationship between us and our Prophet that we claim his victory, so we do everything that he forbade! This is why the re-reading of the biography of Muhammad peace be upon him more than the need for us as Muslims, before read by others.
