For the announcement, the pop star gave a half-hour concert in front of the hotel building. While the poster for the new show was projected onto the facade, she sang her hits "Toxic", "Slave 4 U" and "Circus". The event was also broadcast live on You-Tube.

Spears had just finished her "Britney: Piece of Me" shows in the desert town after 250 strikes last year. She spent $ 137 million in four years, and $ 855 for a VIP ticket. With "Piece of Me" Spears toured through the US and Europe.

In the past, the so-called concert residencies of artists such as Liberace, Frank Sinatra or Elvis Presley were a remedy for fading fame. Meanwhile, the concert series have become real crowd pullers. Especially Celine Dion revitalized the format with their shows "A New Day ..." and "Celine", both of which have made the biggest sums by far. "A New Day ..." grossed over $ 400 million, "Celine" runs until 2019 and has so far converted to 233 million.

These achievements attract even more artists: From 2019, Lady Gaga and Aerosmith will also play regularly in Las Vegas.
