It was early afternoon on January 7 that an ambulance was called to the Mikael Church in central Uppsala where a man in his 50s was severely injured following a stab injury. According to the forensic examination, the man should have received a five centimeter deep injury to the chest and back of the back and also damaged the ribs of the stab.

In March, two suspects were arrested but then released to be re-arrested in May. Now they are both charged with the act.
