WhatsApp now integrates the “Messenger Rooms” videoconferencing service, launched by Facebook in late April. The goal is still for the American giant to compete with Zoom, the app that has been a hit since the start of containment, reports Phonandroid .
The availability of Messenger Rooms will create a bridge between all the applications in the Facebook universe. Messenger, WhatsApp, Instagram and Pota users will be able to participate in the same video conference.
Already in beta version of the application

A button allows the creation of a virtual meeting. Two options are then possible: either stay on WhatsApp or choose to launch the conference on Facebook Messenger. The organizer can then invite participants via a link.
50 people maximum
No need to have a Facebook account to participate in these video chats, which can accommodate up to 50 users, a limit is half that of Zoom. But for Messenger Rooms, Facebook decided that there would be no time limit, unlike its competitor.
No availability date for all WhatsApp users has been communicated. In the meantime, the application can bring together up to 8 people simultaneously.
