China News Agency, Yichang, July 4 (Mo Zufeng, Wang Xiang) According to the news of the Three Gorges Group, the Three Gorges Reservoir ushered in the No. 1 flood of the Yangtze River in 2020 at 10:00 on July 2, and the No. 1 of the Yangtze River at 14:00 on the same day The flood number reached a peak of 53,000 cubic meters per second. As of 8:00 on July 4, the inflow of the Three Gorges Reservoir has dropped to 31,000 cubic meters per second, and the flood has passed through the Three Gorges Dam.

In this round of flooding, the Three Gorges Reservoir is controlled by the Yangtze River Commission dispatching order, and the outflow is controlled at an average daily rate of 35,000 cubic meters per second. All excess water is stored in the reservoir, and the peak shaving rate exceeds 30%. At 2 o'clock on July 4, the water level of the Three Gorges Reservoir rose to a maximum of 149.37 meters, and the water storage capacity was nearly 1.6 billion cubic meters, effectively alleviating the flood control pressure in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and avoiding excessive warning of the water level at Shashi Station on the Jingjiang Reach.

According to the latest hydrological and meteorological forecast, in early July, the Three Gorges Reservoir is expected to usher in a new round of flooding. The Three Gorges Group will pay close attention to changes in rain conditions in the upstream watershed, optimize the information sharing and coordination linkage mechanism of cascade power stations, make overall plans for reservoir discharge control, scientifically dispatch every flood, and play a significant role in flood control by major countries.
