The non-manufacturing business activity index was 53.6%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous month. The comprehensive PMI output index was 53.4%, which was the same as last month, indicating that the production and operation of Chinese enterprises have steadily improved.

  The production index was 53.2%, which was 0.5 percentage points lower than last month, but higher than the critical point, indicating that manufacturing production continued to improve. The new orders index was 50.9%, up 0.7 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the manufacturing market demand has increased. The raw material inventory index was 47.3%, a decrease of 0.9 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the manufacturing industry's main raw material inventory decreased.

  The employment index was 49.4%, a decrease of 0.8 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the manufacturing prosperity of manufacturing companies was lower than that of the previous month. The supplier delivery time index was 50.5%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the delivery time of manufacturing raw material suppliers has accelerated.

  In May, the non-manufacturing business activity index was 53.6%, an increase of 0.4 percentage points from the previous month.

  In view of different industries, the business activity index of the construction industry was 60.8%, 1.1 percentage points higher than that of the previous month. The business activity index of the service industry was 52.3%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous month. In terms of industry categories, retail business, catering, railway transportation, air transportation, telecommunications, radio and television satellite transmission services, Internet software and information services, and other business activity indexes are above 55.0%.   The new orders index was 52.6%, an increase of 0.5 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that non-manufacturing market demand continued to pick up. In view of different industries, the construction industry new orders index was 58.0%, which was 4.8 percentage points higher than last month; the service industry new orders index was 51.7%, which was slightly lower than 0.2 percentage points last month.

  The input price index was 52.0%, an increase of 3.0 percentage points from the previous month, and was above the critical point, indicating that the overall level of input prices used by non-manufacturing enterprises for operating activities has increased. In view of different industries, the input price index of construction industry was 60.0%, an increase of 10.7 percentage points from the previous month; the input price index of service industry was 50.6%, higher than the previous month of 1.7 percentage points, and rose above the critical point.

  The sales price index was 48.6%, up 3.2 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that the overall decline in non-manufacturing sales prices has narrowed. In view of different industries, the sales price index of the construction industry was 54.7%, which was 4.5 percentage points higher than that of last month; the sales price index of the service industry was 47.6%, which was 3.0 percentage points higher than that of last month.

  The employment index was 48.5%, a slight decrease of 0.1 percentage point from the previous month. In view of different industries, the employment index of construction industry was 58.8%, an increase of 1.7 percentage points from the previous month; the employment index of service industry was 46.7%, a decrease of 0.4 percentage points from the previous month.

  The business activity expectation index was 63.9%, an increase of 3.8 percentage points from the previous month, indicating that non-manufacturing companies continued to improve their confidence in recent market developments. In view of different industries, the expected business activity index of the construction industry was 67.5%, which was 2.1 percentage points higher than that of the previous month; the expected business activity index of the service industry was 63.2%, which was an increase of 4.0 percentage points from the previous month.
