Starting November 22, new rules for the medical examination of drivers were to begin to operate in Russia. In particular, the volume of research would increase: it would be necessary to give urine for the content of 11 types of narcotic substances and blood for the presence of the CDT enzyme, a marker of chronic alcohol abuse.
These changes would lead to a sharp increase in prices for medical certificates.
On November 21, the Ministry of Health announced that the entry into force of the new rules is being postponed. According to the agency’s document, the new medical examination rules will come into force on July 1, 2020. The order was signed by Minister of Health Veronika Skvortsova.
