Spaniard Rafael Nadal, twelve times winner of Roland-Garros, married his partner Maria Francisca "Mery" Perello on Saturday in a private ceremony on their home island of Majorca, Spanish media reported.

The 33-year-old Majorcan champion said yes to the one who has shared his life for 14 years in front of 350 guests at Sa Fortalesa Castle in Pollença (north-east of the island).

Among them, the press evoked the presence of the former King of Spain Juan Carlos and other Spanish tennis stars, such as David Ferrer or Feliciano Lopez.

Mery Perello (31), also known as "Xisca" in the press, met her future husband via her childhood friend Maribel Nadal, sister of the champion. Their relationship, marked by great discretion and very few public appearances, began in 2005.
