Residential burglaries in the county have decreased by a total of 38 percent over the past five years, given the number of police reports.

"It may not be as lucrative to commit a specific home burglary," says Pierre Bokor, who is investigating director at the Jönköping police and believes that fraud crimes have become more common.

Increase in Habo

However, despite a total decline in the entire county, the figures show that the burglaries in Habo municipality have increased by eight percent.

- There we can only see a negligible increase, it was a small peak in 2017, but otherwise we can not see that Habo stands out in any way, he says, adding that they have not seen any similarities with nearby resorts.

Some cases are cleared up

It is not always easy for the police to clear up the various types of home burglaries that happen because it usually happens when the residents are not at home.

- That is why it is already difficult to achieve success in these cases. Then you have to hope for testimony, says Pierre Bokor and says that every year they manage to get some legal action.
