Earlier, the official representative of the Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia, Alexander Kurennoy, said on the Internet channel of the agency Aether that the number of crimes stipulated in article 291 of the Criminal Code (“Giving a bribe”) increased by 11% over the year.
According to him, the number of corruption crimes "amounted to almost 29 thousand."
He noted that "the number of such crimes compared to the same period last year increased by 2.3%."
