He said this in an interview with the Wiener Zeitung newspaper.
It is noted that speaking about relations between Russia and Europe, the minister recalled a quote from German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
“He said that in the long run, stability and security in Europe are possible only together with Russia,” Schallenberg emphasized.
He also added that Austria has always sought dialogue.
Earlier, Prime Minister of the Federal State of Saxony (FRG) Michael Kretschmer in an interview with the newspaper Bild expressed the opinion that it is time to lift sanctions against Russia because of their inefficiency and loss-making for the economy of Germany.
