Fire brigades of the Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain evacuated 120 people from a residential building in Al Rawdha area, Umm Al Quwain, after the burning of an entire apartment without causing any human casualties.

The Director of the Civil Defense Department in Umm Al Quwain, Colonel Dr. Salim Hamad bin Hamda, said that the operating room reported a fire at 10:35 this morning stating that one of the apartments in Al Reem building in Al Rawdha area had been burned, where fire engines and ambulances were immediately sent to the scene. Of the 120 people living in it, extinguishing the fire and controlling the fire without registering any casualties.

He added that the fire brigades dealt with the incident with high accuracy and professionalism in cooperation with the Umm Al Quwain Police, the National Ambulance and the Federal Electricity and Water Authority, and hand over the fire file to the competent authorities in the Emirate to complete the necessary procedures.

He pointed out that a temporary housing was provided to the families affected by the fire until the completion of maintenance work in cooperation with the UAE Red Crescent Center, Umm Al Quwain branch.
