“We are always ready to continue gas supplies to Europe, and not only along the route that is currently in effect until the end of 2024... We will be ready to discuss these issues. So far we don’t see such a desire,” TASS quotes him.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Ukraine Denis Shmygal told the head of the government of Slovakia, Robert Fico, that the Ukrainian side has no plans to extend the agreement on the transit of Russian gas to Europe, which expires at the end of 2024.

The Russian leader's press secretary, Dmitry Peskov, said that stopping the transit of Russian gas to European countries through the territory of Ukraine will lead to a change in logistics chains.

According to a Bloomberg source, the European Union is going to exclude the extension of the agreement on gas transit from Russia through Ukraine.
