An increase of 6.3 times over the same period. On the platform, the top ten most popular booking cities for the Spring Festival are Dali, Harbin, Beijing, Beihai, Sanya, Xishuangbanna, Chongqing, Lijiang, Guangzhou and Xi'an.

  Tujia platform data shows that Dali ranks first in the number of B&B bookings on the platform during this year’s Spring Festival. Harbin continues to be popular and becomes a "top" city in the north. Data shows that during the Spring Festival, Harbin’s B&B bookings increased 37 times compared with the same period in 2023, ranking second in the country. Harbin's Central Street Pedestrian Street business district has surpassed the ancient city of Dali to become the hottest business district in the country. The spillover effect from Harbin has made B&Bs popular throughout Northeast China. During the Spring Festival, bookings for homestays in Mudanjiang increased 42 times compared with the same period in 2023, Shenyang increased 18 times, Yanbian increased 17 times, Qiqihar increased 19 times, and Changchun increased 12 times.

  Spending the Chinese New Year in a B&B has become a new option. As of now, the booking volume of B&Bs labeled as whole-rent, multi-living, and single-family homes on the Tujia platform has increased three times compared with the same period in 2023. In terms of price, the average nightly price paid for the above-mentioned B&Bs on the platform dropped by nearly 40% year-on-year. Liu Yang, chief commercial officer of Tujia B&B, analyzed that this year’s Spring Festival holiday is long, and guests’ travel time and destination choices have shown a diversified and decentralized trend. In addition, the supply of B&Bs in the market has increased, so prices are more affordable than in previous years.

  Folk B&Bs with a New Year flavor are also popular. Recently, the search volume for keywords such as "Spring Festival", "New Year" and "Folklore" on the Tujia platform has increased five times compared with the same period in 2023. Intangible cultural heritage activities such as lion dances, British singing and dancing, and car drum performances are standard features of the Spring Festival in the Chaoshan area. These folk activities have also attracted the attention of many tourists to book B&Bs.
