"Chinese-style Modernization and Sustainable Development of Global Tourism" is a parallel forum 21, hosted by Nankai University, and organized by the Institute of Chinese-style Modernization Development of Nankai University and the Collaborative Innovation Center of Modern Tourism Development.

Gong Ke, former president of Nankai University and chairman of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Modern Tourism Development, pointed out that tourism development should take harmony between man and nature as the core essence, promote harmony and inclusiveness between people as an important goal, and give full play to the civilized and indoctrination function of tourism with the deep integration of culture and tourism. Zheng Xinli, former deputy director of the Central Policy Research Office, pointed out that Chinese-style modernization has injected strong impetus into the sustainable development of global tourism. Since the reform and opening up, history has proved that Chinese-style modernization is an opportunity and gospel for global tourism development, and Chinese-style modernization will continue to release the huge potential and strong vitality of China's tourism industry, inject strong impetus into the sustainable development of global tourism, and will have an all-round impact on global tourism development.

Wang Zhifa, former deputy secretary of the party group and deputy director of the National Tourism Administration, pointed out that as a messenger of peace and a bridge of friendship, it is the mission of China's tourism industry in the new era to tell Chinese stories well and shape China's image. It is necessary to attach importance to the development of inbound tourism, give play to the positive role of the "Belt and Road", continuously enhance the international influence of China's tourism, and present a credible, lovely and respectable image of China to the world through all-round, multi-level and multi-channel communication.

Zhu Shanzhong, Ambassador and former Executive Director of the United Nations World Tourism Organization, congratulated the forum on behalf of the United Nations World Tourism Organization and pointed out that China's modernization will deepen and optimize the global tourism development pattern, China's outbound tourism consumption has always been the leader, Chinese outbound tourists account for 10% of the total number of global tourists, is the world's largest engine of international tourism development, and will also bring huge investment demand and entrepreneurial employment opportunities to the world.

Professor Scott McCabe, Editor-in-Chief of the top international tourism management journal and University of Birmingham, pointed out that China plays a very important role in the development of global tourism, is the largest outbound tourism provider, and a global leader in green investment and transition to a green economy. This is not only because of the large number of Chinese mouths, but also because of China's rising wealth and consumer demand for tourism products and services.

Shi Peihua, host of the forum and director of the Collaborative Innovation Center for Modern Tourism Development of Nankai University, concluded that the world today urgently needs to accelerate the development of tourism and promote international cooperation.
