Daxi Tunnel is located in Datong Town, Lanzhou City, close to Jinlonggou Bridge and Daxigou No. 1 Bridge. The length of the tunnel is 373.2 meters. It is a single-hole double-line loess tunnel with a maximum buried depth of 48 meters and large terrain undulations.
The slope of the tunnel entrance and exit has sparse vegetation, developed loess caverns, and poor engineering geological conditions.
The project was constructed by China Railway Lanzhou Bureau Group Co., Ltd., under the construction management of Lanzhou Engineering Construction Headquarters, under the construction of China Railway Eighth Bureau, and supervised by China Railway First Institute Southern Supervision Company.

The tunnel was excavated from the exit to the entrance, and the reverse slope construction was used to ensure the tunnel construction on schedule Finished.
Newly built Lanzhou-Zhangye third and fourth line railway with a total length of about 518 kilometers and a design speed of 250 kilometers per hour. It will be led from Lanzhou West Station in Lanzhou City, passing through Wuwei City, Jinchang City, and finally into Zhangye West Station in Zhangye City, with Zhongchuan Airport Station in the middle. , Shilakou, Yongdeng West, Tianzhu West, Heisongyi, Gulangbei, Wuwei East, the golden section of the ancient Silk Road-Hexi Corridor, this railway will become the second high-speed rail corridor from Lanzhou to Xinjiang .
The completion of the railway will improve the layout of the high-speed railway network in the western part of Gansu Province and promote the formation of fast passenger transport channels in the Hexi Corridor of Gansu Province.
