Thanks to bootcamps, you can learn to code in just a few months.

We already knew about bootcamps, these extreme physical conditioning courses inspired by the training of American soldiers, which allow you to get back in shape in just a few days thanks to particularly intense exercises.

This format is now entering the world of vocational training to offer accelerated qualifications and diplomas, particularly in web development.

What is the bootcamp?

Based on a model from Silicon Valley in the United States, bootcamps are presented as new digital schools that train their students in the most sought-after web professions, by supporting them as much as possible until professional integration.

Classes are only given face-to-face, generally by professionals in the sector, in order to ensure the quality and seriousness of the follow-up of the learners.

If most bootcamps work in collaboration with large digital companies, it is however not possible to register with a work-study contract.

On the other hand, throughout this lightning-fast course, students invest in real projects, in order to sharpen their sense of autonomy and their creativity.

Most of those who choose this type of route are between 25 and 40 years old.

They are therefore mainly active workers wishing to retrain or specialize in specific skills to be more attractive on the job market.

To the point

Unlike a classical computer engineering school, you do not study math, physics or the theoretical foundations of the discipline.

With bootcamps, the goal is to get straight to the point: learning to code.

You therefore do not take formal courses but mainly learn to master Web tools in an empirical way.

Through concrete cases similar to those you will encounter in the professional world, you gradually refine your knowledge while practicing.

It is an intensive immersion, which requires a total investment.

After three to ten months, you will be operational on the most common programming languages: Javascript, Python, CSS, etc.

Guaranteed outlets

If these computer programming schools are experiencing such a boom, it is because they offer a virtual guarantee of employment.

Many of them, like WebForce3 or La Capsule, have hiring rates of 90%, three months after graduation.

Most of their students get positions as web developer, digital project manager, system architect, integrator or web marketer.

And for good reason: the main attraction of bootcamps lies in the fact that their programs meet the criteria of the labor market in real time, in a sector that is evolving at a dazzling speed.

In addition, they specialize in web professions for which there is a real shortage of talent.

In France, due to a lack of trained and operational candidates, nearly 35,000 positions remain to be filled in these professions for which companies are in great demand, not to mention the possibilities of employment abroad, facilitated by the universality of computer languages.
