China News Service, Hangzhou, September 26 (Zhang Bin, Xu Junsama, Zhang Zifan) On the 26th, a high-end seminar on diversified and highly resilient power grids in the form of energy Internet was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang.

The reporter learned from the meeting that State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has put forward the idea of building a diversified and highly resilient grid in the form of an energy Internet. By 2030, it will be the first to build an internationally leading energy Internet with Chinese characteristics in Zhejiang.

What is a "multi-integrated and highly resilient grid in the form of the energy Internet"?

According to State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power, Zhejiang’s electricity consumption has the characteristics of large peak-to-valley difference and short peak time.

In 2019, the maximum peak-to-valley difference in Zhejiang reached 34.36 million kilowatts, and the cumulative time for the peak load of over 95% was 27 hours.

In the traditional mode, the power supply side and the power grid side need to "follow" the highest load and increase the maximum power supply capacity with rigid investment.

Highly resilient power grid is a smarter solution-awakening load-side resources, "shifting" peak-hour electricity demand to "trough" periods, flattening the load curve, and improving grid utilization efficiency.

Take a specific scenario as an example. In Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, the data center of China Telecom Hangzhou Branch has previously completed the power demand response for the first data center in Zhejiang. The 10,500 kilowatts of load that is “let out” in one hour can provide electricity for 5,000 households. As a result, the data center received a subsidy of 65,600 yuan-in the future, the supporting power capacity of Hangzhou's major data centers will reach a quarter of the city’s new power supply capacity, which contains a huge “load resource rich ore”.

According to the data, as of September 21, State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has gathered a "load resource pool" of 5.77 million kilowatts of peak shaving load and 3.22 million kilowatts of valley filling load, which is converted into economic value, which is equivalent to building a 5 million kilowatt-level less Large-scale power stations save more than 18 billion yuan in investment.

This summer, in the 35 demand responses implemented by the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power, the cumulative regulated load was 1,446,900 kilowatts, and the effective response power reached 1,735,100 kilowatt-hours.

The construction of a diversified and highly resilient grid under the form of the energy internet and the construction of a provincial energy internet are of special significance to Zhejiang.

According to State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power, as a province with a net energy input, Zhejiang is a typical provincial-level receiving-end power grid, with external electricity accounting for over 35%.

This summer, the highest electricity load in Zhejiang's society reached 96.28 million kilowatts, which has exceeded the scale of electricity consumption in some developed countries and is about to enter the "100 million kilowatt era."

As Zhejiang's power load and power supply pressure continue to increase, new energy sources for UHV AC/DC hybrid operation are connected to the grid on a large scale, and a large number of new energy-using facilities are connected, and the province's power grid is becoming more and more complex.

At the same time, market allocation and demand-side linkage are lacking, and massive resources are still in a dormant state. Zhejiang Power Grid is still a semi-rigid power grid with “source driven by load”; and clean energy such as wind power and photovoltaics, external power is basically not involved in Zhejiang’s internal transfer Peaks, causing the system's ability to adjust continuously to decline.

With the economic development entering the stage of high-quality development, the above-mentioned issues urgently need to be solved.

“The time is right for the construction of the Energy Internet. The most urgent task is to give full play to the power grid’s pivotal role in connecting power supply and demand, promoting multi-energy conversion, and building a modern energy system, and to use the diversified and highly resilient grid as the core carrier for the construction of the Energy Internet, and give play to its leadership Power, radiation, and driving force, create a new form of energy interconnection, build an energy Internet ecosystem, and create Zhejiang experience and Zhejiang samples of energy Internet provincial time." State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power Co., Ltd. Chairman and Party Secretary Yin Jijun said.

It is reported that the State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power has initially completed the conceptual design and framework system construction of a diversified and highly resilient grid, and formulated a highly resilient grid development indicator system consisting of three dimensions of elasticity index, efficiency index and interconnection index; preliminary description of the provincial level The vision of the future form of the Energy Internet: Provide a livable ecology through clean supply, efficient use of energy to satisfy a better life, win-win cooperation to achieve a beautiful blueprint, fully serve the economic and social development of Zhejiang, and promote the creation of a clean energy demonstration province in Zhejiang, creating an "important window" "An appropriate Zhejiang model of the Energy Internet.

State Grid Zhejiang Electric Power plans to have the capacity of shifting peaks and valleys in Zhejiang Province to reach tens of millions of kilowatts by 2023, pushing the province’s terminal energy consumption to account for 40% and other goals; by 2030, it will be the first to build an international market with Chinese characteristics in Zhejiang The leading energy internet has supported Zhejiang’s non-fossil energy power generation accounted for 50%, electric energy accounted for more than 45% of end-use energy, and energy consumption per unit of GDP reached the international leading level.
