In accordance with the Corona 19 epidemic, the QR check-in (electronic access list) function required when visiting multi-use facilities, etc. is further simplified.

Naver and Kakao announced today (27th) that they will change the consent procedure for collecting and providing personal information, which was required each time when using QR check-in, to only one time at the first use.

This update is in accordance with the decision of the Personal Information Protection Committee and the Central Accident Response Headquarters, taking into account both rapid and accurate quarantine and user convenience.

As both Naver and Kakao QR check-in procedures have been changed and simplified, it will be applied when visiting or using facilities from tomorrow.

Businesses operating facilities can easily introduce an electronic access list by installing the KI-PASS app on the App Store and going through the business registration process.

Naver encrypts the QR code used by the user during QR check-in, and then stores it in a distributed manner with social security information sources.

Only when epidemiological investigation is necessary, the quarantine authorities combine the two information and the stored information is automatically discarded after 4 weeks.
